As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with a weapon against one creature within the spell’s range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attack’s normal effects, and you incapacitate one of the creatures senses (non special senses) you chose. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the spell ends.
At higher levels, if you have the Extra Attack feature, you can try to hit a different creature within 5 feet of your reach. The sense you choose as the effect of the spell must be the same as the first opponent you strike at. For each Extra Attack the level of the spell slot must be 1 level higher.* - (a weapon)
